October 8th - 20 years of ABG I'm not sure what I'm going to do, but the 2nd Saturday of October this year will be the 20th year of Arlington Board Gamers. How about that?

here's the thread from 10 years ago: Come Celebrate 10 years of ABG! Oct 13th - General - Arlington Board Gamers

At one point my site had the phrase "Gaming with a view, since 2002". That was back when we overlooked the national mall.

I am surely going to try to do something special, so... save the date if you are interested?

6/25 gaming is ON This Saturday is the fourth Saturday of the month and a game day.

While I still have some fluidity in my situation, I plan to be there. If not, Rick and Marvin will be there to substitute host and game. They both tend towards the early side, so be sure to check in if you plan to arrive post 4pm.

What's more, this week is Rick's birthday week, so you Definitely want to show up for that, right?? He'll even have his birthday game with him, Architects of the West Kingdom and might be looking for players!

I also have a copy of Ark Nova, which is supposed to be good, if someone who knows how to play happens to show up.

Who can make it? What would you like to play?

Fourth Saturday gaming, 7/23 - cancelled Cancelled due to dad's service today. I know I've said it before, but gaming should resume regularly starting with the next game day, August 13th.

Fourth Saturday gaming, 8/27, is on! Hey, who can come gaming this weekend?

We will start at 1pm. I was able to get in a game of Azul: Queen's market and liked it enough to get a copy AND I can actually teach.

Who is coming by? What would you like to play?

ABG 9/24/22 - fourth saturday gaming! Hey, next saturday is a game day!

I figure we'll start at 1pm but feel free to stop by a little earlier.

Oct 8th, 2022 - 20 years of ABG That's right, Arlington Board Gamer's started up in the fall of 2002. While I can't say it's been a fairly consistent string of game days any more, I think that was true until COVID and such happened, and hopefully we are back to consistency again!

I am confident that there has been well over 200 game days... and I'm glad to have gamed with you all over the years, for it's the great folks who make it by that have kept it up for so long.

The 8th will be a game day... I'll have it in the party room downstairs, with it's larger capacity and better climate control.

I encourage everyone who has been to a game day before to try to make this one (or even if you haven't and somehow hear about this)!

Please RSVP if you can and I very much hope to hear from you!

20 years! What do you think?

Congratulations on 20 years of ABG! I'm happy to have been along for the ride for a few years with y'all. Unfortunately I can't be there on the 8th, but I'm glad I got to stop in for gaming at the end of August.

It was great to see you, Phil! Here's hoping these more DC trips in the future!

It has been too long! The only important thing is having you there! But I would never say no to one of your famous baked goods, if you find yourself with extra time.

Oct 8th, 2022 - 20 years of ABG Just a reminder that this will be in the party room on level 'P'. As I remember, there's a locked door between the elevator and access to the party room, but I will be keeping an eye out to let people in and will post instructions on getting in an alternate way.

Oct 8th, 2022 - 20 years of ABG The community/party room is on the P level. You'll go to the P level in the elevator, exit the elevator lobby and turn left. If you head straight at that point, you'll hit a locked door, but the party room is straight through from there.

If you check in with the front desk, I think they'll call down to have someone let you through. Alternately, you can call me directly.

If you're more adventurous, you can go into the courtyard on the P level, turn left and go to the last door on the left, I'll try to leave it open.

If you get completely stuck, there is an elevator directly accessible from the P floor lobby that takes you back to the main lobby, where you can buzz for access back into the main lobby (or leave through the garage at the end of the day).

In previous years, you couldn't get back into the P floor lobby from the courtyard without a key, but that is no longer the case.

Oct 22nd - Spoooky gaming! Well, not really, just normal gaming.

This Saturday is the fourth saturday of October, and a game day! As the days get chillier and halloween gets closer, what better comfort than gaming with friends?

Who can make it? What would you like to play? I have a copy of Golem but haven't learned it yet.

November 12th gaming - second saturday Who's up for some gaming this saturday?

We will start at 1pm, but feel free to get here a bit early. George and Anye taught me Golem last time, so I could probably teach that.

Have anything that you want to play?
11/12/2022 12:01:13 PM
November 12th gaming - second saturday Right now it sounds like we have Anye, George, Me, Marvin, Sheila and maybe Scott.

Rick is playing Megaciv at Euroquest and Mike can't make it.

Last minute additions are always welcome, just let me know. I'll see you all soon!
