More site changes and request to enter names
|
Due to some confusion about who is who, I added a first and last name to the 'my profile' page. The default value for first name is your username.
I encourage everyone to update those values with their real first and last name (or just last initial, if you prefer).
These values will appear under your user id for every past you make (and in the notification emails for those posts).
Of course, this is just encouragement and not any kind of rule or anything.
I've also made the notification emails a little friendlier in that they should correctly show multiple lines.
Let me know if you encounter any problems!

Many folks are away at the beach this weekend. This should be the last game day for a while that I foresee as having less attendance than the normal fluctuation for a while.

No, no! Last game day where I'm worried enough about the number of people showing up to poll for interest beforehand. 2nd and 4th Saturday gaming will continue indefinitely.

Fourth Saturday gaming - May 26th

This Saturday is the fourth of the month and a game day. We'll be doing the normal 1pm start... and I'll actually be there this time!

This Saturday, June 9th, is the 2nd Saturday of the month and a game day!
We'll start at 1pm and go until the last game ends.

Festive, Patriotic Fourth of July Gaming, 2012!

As some of you know, I used to host ABG out my apartment in courthouse, one feature of which was a great view of the (national) mall, which was particularly nice during the fireworks display. Because of that, I started hosting fourth of July gaming where-in folks would come by and play games, then watch the fireworks. When I moved to the current place, alas, the fireworks display on the fourth was quite drastically reduced, but it turns out that people still enjoyed coming by for the games and company (and maybe a little of the tiny fireworks in the distance).
That's all just a long-winded preamble to seeing if people are interested in doing so again this year. Who'd be up for coming by on the fourth, starting 1pm? Let me know ahead of time, if you can, so I can gauge interest.

Gaming is on for July 28th! I have a conflicting thing from 2-4 (as do others), but will be there before and after that. If a few people are planning on getting there at 1pm, we'll have the normal start time. Who is planning on getting there at about 1pm?

No takers yet for the 1pm start time at this point, though I know not everyone follows this board. If you bring someone to play games with, you're welcome to come by at 1pm and I'll leave you to it.
